What is the exact price of the batwan puree? It is confusing!

Some of our customers are confused with the different prices and we can understand why. There are different prices because with the present little problems created by the nature (virus) and by humans (trying to fight the virus), we have to adapt and to work with people or companies in different regions of the Philippines. All the production is in Bacolod meaning we have or they have to deal with different costs of packaging and freight. Furthermore we do not impose prices so our partners are free to charge what they need or want to charge.

Here is a synthesis and a guideline to find the present price of the batwan puree according to your location and the quantity you want to order.

Never hesitate to contact us if you need assistance or clarifications:

Important news from Lola's garden Jam and the batwan puree!

A beautiful fruit of batwan of 7.5 cm diameter

The batwan puree is the only natural, organic and "unprocessed or minimally processed foods" and can be opposed to the "ultra-processed foods" responsible of a high increase (62%) of risk of mortality according to various studies on large cohorts (1). Furthermore some powders include chemical additives and have low nutritional quality.
That is probably the reason of the success of the batwan puree of Lola's Garden Jam because the connoisseurs know the Kansi and Sinigang need real batwan, not Sampalok (Tamarind), nor Kamias and of course not dehydrated and pounded batwan.

Because of the specificity of the batwan: really cultivated only in Negros and rapidly decaying after the harvest, people living out of Negros Island have a difficult access to this fruit. We now offer an option to receive directly at home and anywhere in the Philippines the pouches of batwan puree per carton of 6, 12 or 24 pouches.

Here is the process to get the batwan pouches rapidly and at the best price if you are not leaving in Bacolod (Do not hesitate to contact by mail or text - 0919 3555 424 - if you have any problem with these 3 steps):

STEP 1 - ORDER: Contact Lola's Garden Jam by email at:
          lolasgardenjam@gmail.com
      or dcollot@gmail.com
and precise:
     - your order,
     - your cellphone number
     - and delivery address.
We will need for the next steps.

960.00                        1860.00                                     3640.00

Important note: PLEASE, DO NOT USE LAZADA LINKS YOU COULD FIND WITH GOOGLE OR OTHER SEARCH ENGINE: LAZADA IS NO MORE RELATED WITH LOLA'S GARDEN JAM.

STEP 2 - PAY: You will receive confirmation of your order with an invoice from PAYPAL (2) and you have one click to do to pay. Paypal will inform us of your payment and we bring to AP Cargo (3) your parcel. We send then an email or a text with the tracking number and estimated arrival date.

STEP 3 - RECEIVE: Prepare a little cash for the payment of the carrier at the delivery.

Here a table to have an idea of the cost of transportation of your parcel with AP Cargo:

We hope to satisfy your need of batwan puree with this simple 3 steps process!

Please inform us if you have not yet our e-booklet of recipes of various Sinigang and Kansi adapted to the batwan puree. We can send it you for free.

4 new products!

The success of "the marriages of the passion" fruit jams, a variation around passion fruit with banana or mango or pineapple and mango or pineapple and guava, encouraged us to continue the development of new products. Since a few days you can find at Bob's North drive, Bob's Gaisano, Virgie's and 26th Herb garden (and soon at Pendy's) new appetizers or side dish:  three pickles and one puree:

  • The Batwan puree: fanatics of bulalo and sinigang and inasal chicken discovered recently the absence of batwan puree of ECG farms in the stores. People say ECG farms stopped the production and cut the batwan trees to grow sugarcane, I do not know... I hope this new batwan puree will satisfy the chefs. It is made with organic batwan from negros farmers. Do not hesitate to give us your comments, we are always open to improvment. Three to five tablespoons per kilogram of meat is a good start, then adjust acording to your taste. This product is pasteurized and, after opening, it needs to be kept in the fridge  and used in 2 to 3 weeks.
  • The vegetable medley sweet pickles (close to achara or atsara) is a mixing of carrot, ampalaya, sayote, pineapple, onion, garlic, ginger soaked in vinegar and brown sugar. Gourmets eat pickles alone or with bread and butter. In the Philippines it is a common used with fried or grilled fish or meat. This product is pasteurized and, after opening, it needs to be kept in the fridge  and used in 2 to 3 weeks.
  • The sweet pickles: if you are a pickle lover, you will never have enough! It is like that with pickles, you start and you cannot stop! To prepare it, we use young cucumbers, mustard seeds, celery seeds, whole spice, whole cloves as spices. This product is pasteurized and, after opening, it needs to be kept in the fridge  and used in 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Pickled okra and hot pepper: the sweet pickles are to sweet for you? Try this pickled okra and you will discover a very original pickles. We prepare it with baby okra. Cut it in small splices, you will see, the texture and the flavor are very interesting. We use it to replace capers on the pizza and it's great! This product is pasteurized and, after opening, it needs to be kept in the fridge  and used in 2 to 3 weeks.

Variations around the passion fruit

For Maskara and, why not, for Xmas gift, we have the pleasure to present four new jams; Passion fruit is the common denominator. It's getting married with banana or mango or pineapple and mango or pineapple and guava. That's is why we called them the marriages of the passion.

You can notice we added to the regular "S" bottle a smaller size: you have now choice between 300 and 150 g of pleasure.

Furthermore, you can find a box of three 150 g jams in a transparent plastic box:

May be this gives you idea for an original gift made in Bacolod? Please reserve the number you wish, you know we have a limited production.

You will find all these new jams at our usual partner's stores:
- Bob's Gaisano,
- Bob's North Drive
- Pendy's
- Twenty-six herb garden (6th street)
- Virgie's

Enjoy your life with passion ... fruit!

New sauce for pasta!

We recently discovered this sauce for pasta and after few weeks of trials, we adapted it for the Philippines. We are happy to offer you the delicate flavor of this not spicy sauce. Lemon grass, garlic, onion, ginger, tomato, basil from the vegetable garden, generous and healthy olive oil from Italy and of course, the Japanese miso paste.
According to  Delia Quigley (www.care2.com): "Miso is a paste made from soybeans, sea salt, and koji (a mold starter), and often mixed with rice, barley or other grains. The mixture is allowed to ferment for 3 months to 3 years, which produces an enzyme-rich food. The binding agent zybicolin in miso is effective in detoxifying and eliminating elements that are taken into the body through industrial pollution, radioactivity and artificial chemicals in the soil and food system." She count not less than 10 benefits to the the miso!

Like the Cheese sauce for pasta, the bottle of miso sauce is good for a pack of 500 g of pasta. But it can be used also as topping for rice or pizza.

Starting on February 16th, 2015, you can find this new sauce at Bob's Gaisano, Bob's North Drive, Pendy's and Virgie's.

Enjoy your pasta!
